Nia Renée didn't set out to make jazz. She set out to make music that felt true. What came out was something that defied easy categorization — neo-soul harmonics layered over jazz-influenced chord structures, with lyrics that cut straight to the bone.

A graduate of Wayne State University's music program, Nia spent two years playing the Detroit jazz circuit before her self-produced single 'Smoke & Mirrors' went viral in 2025, racking up over 800K streams in its first month.

She performs with a live quartet and refuses to use backing tracks. Every show is different. Every night is a conversation.
